I love the beginning of  a new quilt and in particular the moment I discover the fabrics... It is especially true for this collection from Moda called Hello Luscious, sounds exciting don't you think?

Look how pretty these fabrics are...

J'adore le commencement d'un nouveau patchwork et surtout le moment où je découvre les tissus.... C'est particulièrement vrai pour cette collecion de tissus de chez Moda appelée Hello Luscious, c'est prometteur vous ne trouvez-pas?

Regardez comme ces tissus sont jolis...

I actually bought these fabrics which came with the pattern called Honeycomb. The quilt was hanging in a quilt shop and everything to make it was in a pretty little bundle just underneath ...

It is not a big quilt, a little wall hanging of 36" X 39" which uses up 2 charm packs for the 80 hexagons and 7/8 yard of the solid background fabric.

I like the background fabric that is a natural linen, which reminds me I need to wash it because linen shrinks and I'd rather avoid unpleasant surprises...

J'ai en fait acheté ces tissus qui étaient vendus avec le modèle appelé Honeycomb (gâteau de miel). Le patchwork était suspendu dans un magasin de tissus et juste au-dessous se trouvait un joli paquet décoré d'un ruban avec tout ce qu'il fallait pour réaliser le patch...

Ce n'est pas un grand patchwork, seulement 90 X  100 cm, et il faut pour le réaliser 2 charm packs pour les 80 hexagones et 80 cm de tissu uni pour le fond.

J'aime le tissu de fond qui est en lin naturel, ce qui me fait penser que je dois le laver au préalable car le lin rétrécit et je veux éviter une mauvaise surprise...
