Bunny Project for Spring / Lapins à confectionner pour le printemps

At the Broward Quilt Show, I came upon these two cute little bunnies on display in one of the vendors' booths. My little girl has a passion for rabbits ever since she was a baby, with her Peter Rabbit fluffy toy, and  we now have a collection of plates, cups, books, mostly with Beatrix Potter's famous character, but with other rabbits too.

Of course, I could not resist finding out how to make these cute rabbits!

Au Broward Quilt Show, je suis tombée sur ces ravissants petits lapins sur une table d'un des stands de vendeurs de tissus. Ma petite puce a une passion pour les lapins depuis que, bébé, elle a élu pour son doudou Peter Rabbit. Et nous avons maintenant une collection d'assiettes, de tasses, de livres décorés du célèbre personnage créé par Beatrix Potter, mais d'autres lapins également.

Bien entendu, je n'ai pu résister de demander comment réaliser ces jolis lapins!

This is a sewing project that is no doubt going to occupy my daughter and I over several weekends!

C'est un projet de couture qui va sans aucun doute nous occuper toutes les deux plusieurs weekends!

Despite some pretty busy weeks, I have managed to finish appliqueing all of my orange peels!

Yeah!

Malgré des semaines chargées, j'ai réussi à terminer d'appliquer toutes mes peaux d'oranges!

Houra!

I am pretty happy with the choice of scraps I made: soft colors with a few touches of brightness here and there. Just so that I can put brighter and darker colors in the center medallion and on the outer border.

Je suis plutôt contente du choix de tissu que j'ai fait: des couleurs douces avec quelques touches plus vives ici et là. Ainsi je pourrai mettre des couleurs plus foncées et plus vives dans le médaillon central et sur la bordure extérieure.
