At last the perfect fabric for my Basket Quilt / Enfin le tissu parfait pour mon patch de paniers

Do you remember the Basket Quilt I was working on in the fall? I ended up not liking my choice of fabric for the setting squares and could not find an adequate one in my stash. Well, my little trip to Boca Raton's Stitchcraft was very fruitful...

Vous vous souvenez du Patch de Paniers sur lequel je travaillais en automne? Je n'aimais pas le tissu que j'avais choisi pour les carrés intermédiaires et je n'avais rien dans ma réserve qui soit adéquat. Et bien ma petite visite chez Stitchcraft à Boca Raton a été très fructueuse...

Look at these prints: outer border in the leafy print, inner border in the pinkinsh red, and the flowery print for the squares

Voyez ces imprimés: les feuilles pour la bordure extérieure, le rouge/rose pour la bordure intérieure et l'imprimé à fleurs pour les carrés

Much better, a brighter print, but small enough not to overpower the baskets

With both fabrics partially sewn, it is easy to see which works better.

 Now the inner border
Maintenant la bordure intermédiaire

I really love it! The inner border really echoes the pinkish red of the baskets
J'adore! La bordure intermédiaire rappelle vraiment le rose rouge des paniers

The outer border is going to require a little thinking for the cutting because of the birds in the foliage
La bordure extérieure va demander un peu de calcul pour la coupe car il y a des oiseaux dans le feuillage
