Basket Quilt top finished! / Patch de Paniers piécé!

The fabric I have chosen for the outer border of my basket quilt has birds on it which I need to make sure are all upright...

I am going to cut two strips across the width and then two down the length

Je vais donc couper deux bandes dans la largeur et deux dans la longueur

It is the perfect complement to the pinkish red in the baskets

Il complémente parfaitement le rouge rose des paniers

My borders are cut and I have tried to place them so that there seems to be a continuity in the print where they join

Mes bordures sont coupées et je les ai placées afin que l'imprimé semble continuer là où elles se rejoignent

I love the result. The border goes really well with the dutch chintz I used for the baskets

J'adore le résultat. La bordure s'accorde vraiment bien avec les chintz hollandais que j'ai utilisés pour les paniers

If I think back as to my original objective, it was to use some of those very expensive chintz I had bought in a quilt, without wasting any, and to make something that would bring them out.
