3/4 " inner border using one of the red prints from the hearts to enhance the center square

1 inch was too much and 1/2 each not enough to my taste

I always trace the margins with triangles to get an accurate piecing

I used two of the checkered fabrics from the pieced center

J'ai utilisé deux des tissus à carreaux du centre piécé

I simply made this little top as the inspiration came and now, I can look back and tell you what I would have done differently. Just one little thing, but I think it would have looked better: I should have used the print from the border for the cream used in the center block. It would have been even more striking and would have echoed the border.

J'ai réalisé ce petit dessus de table au fur et à mesure de mon inspiration et maintenant, je peux juger de mon travail et vous dire ce que j'aurais fait différemment. Juste un petit détail, mais je pense que l'aspect final aurait été meilleur: j'aurais dû utiliser le même imprimé que celui de la bordure pour le tissu crème du bloc central. Il aurait ainsi ressorti et aurait fait écho à la bordure.
