The last stitch to Reiko Kato's sunbonnets / Le dernier point aux sunbonnets de Reiko Kato

As with the completion of every one of my quilts, it is with relief, expecially after so much hand quilting, and intense satisfaction that I can look at this quilt and appreciate the work I have put into it.

Comme à chaque fois que je termine un patch, c'est avec un sentiment de soulagement, surtout après autant de matelassage à la main, et de très grande satisfaction que je peux contempler ce patch et apprécier le travail que je lui ai consacré.

I had to hop into my favorite local quilt shop to find the fabric for the binding and I believe I found the perfect one: checkered brown with some blue in it.

J'ai eu besoin de faire un saut dans mon magasin de patch préféré pour trouver le tissu du biais de finition. Je pense avoir trouvé l'imprimé parfait: brun à carreaux avec du bleu.

And now with Christmas just around the corner I thought I would do a Christmas project. There is a table top I have been wanting to do for a long time. It is from this wonderful edition of Quiltmania, so many beautiful projects....

Et maintenant avec l'approche de Noël j'ai pensé réaliser un projet pour les fêtes. J'ai repéré il y a déjà bien longtemps un magnifique carré pour décorer une table. Le modèle se trouve dans cette superbe édition de Quiltmania qui contient tant de projets magnifiques...

It is called Scandinavian Christmas Hearts

Il s'appelle Coeurs de Noël Scandinaves

There are four hearts embroidered in each corner of the quilt. Is this not a beauty?

Il y a quatre coeurs brodés à chaque angle du patch. N'est-ce pas de toute beauté?
