Quilting Lone Starburst Quilt / Matelassage de Lone Starburst Quilt

For this quilt I wanted to try my hand at giving it a more traditional look and so this is the first time I am quilting this way, quilting in pretty geometrical designs.

Pour ce patchwork, j'ai voulu un  fini plus traditionnel et c'est donc la première fois que je quilte de cette manière en incorporant de jolis dessins géométriques.

I used the same design and enlarged it to vary the quilting in each block

J'ai utilisé le même dessin de base et l'ai agrandi pour varier le dessin selon les blocs

 Each diamond is quilted at 1/4"

Chaque losange est quilté à 1/4"

Only one quarter of the quilt left to do!

Plus qu'un quart du patch à faire!

DONE!!!

I am not happy with this block it looks a bit empty. Let's echo the design...

Je ne suis pas satisfaite de ce bloc qui me paraît un peu vide. Traçons une ligne pour répéter le dessin...

I use a FRIXION pen. They come in black, blue and red and are great for the markings disappear when ironing!

J'utilise un stylo FRIXION. Ils existent en noir, bleu et rouge et c'est idéal pour tracer car ensuite un coup de fer suffit pour tout faire disparaître!

Now the border. I have sewn the sandwich on the very edge of the quilt so that the fabric will not shift.

Maintenant la bordure. J'ai bâti le bord du patch afin que le tissu ne bouge pas lors du matelassage.

Voilà!!!

And now to the binding. I have some fabric in the same pattern as the red in the stars but in a brighter red. It will be perfect and I just have enough.

Et maintenant le biais de finition. J'ai un coupon de tissu du même imprimé que le rouge des étoiles mais dans un rouge plus vif. Il sera parfait et j'en ai juste assez.
